    Unhappy Can sugar lock files?

I am editing a bug that is assigned to me I have it open and assign it to user1 and click save . User2 was also editing the bug at the same time, they added more information, then they saved it, after I had, so it was assigned back to me. If two people are typeing a lot of information in at the same time someone is going to lose a bunch. Is there a way to prevent this from happening. I can see in the log file what happened but if you lose a bunch of data instead of just a user assignment that could be a big problem.

We are using php 5.03, MySQL 4.0.24 and Sugar 4.01

Default Re: Can sugar lock files?

I just tested the 4.01 code. I logged in from one machine as user1 and another as user2. User1 opened a bug to edit it. User2 opened that same bug to edit. User2 saved his changes . User1 then saved his changes. On user1's save it displayed that there was a conflict with the database and allowed me to select which one I wanted to save (the database or the one user1 was saving). So it looks like it is working.

    Thanks,

The problem was that I was logged in to a account with administrator privleges, it works just fine when I am a user so that is great. We will just make sure to only use the adminitrator account or a account with administrator privaliges for admin stuff not to edit bugs, or notes etc.
    Thank-you for your help.
