can Sugar verify that a sent email was open?

I'm begining with SugarCE ver 5.5.0 and a question rised about how can we know that a sent email from Sugar was read or opened by the recipient lead or customer?.

There is no field in sugar which is used for that purpose.

Only in email campaigns you can seee in the staus of the campaign, who opend the email - if his firewall allows that.
