Default Can you really link Sugar to your website?

    Hi everyone,

I'm the CIO at a finance firm. We receive many business plans submitted through our company's website on a daily basis.

I figured we'd have to set up an email address, and then use the Outlook plugin to archive/sync the contact and document.

However, I've heard that one can sync Sugar so that a form would appear on our website. Then, after the contact submits the form on our website, the data and contact info is automatically transferred to Sugar.

Is this really possible? If so, would you mind providing a link where I can learn more?

    Thanks!

This is known as a "web to lead" form in Sugar and yes, it works exactly as you state.

It is very easy to setup. Once you've added any additional fields you want to the lead object through the studio, you create the web-to-lead form. This is a WYSYWIG exercise performed through Sugar itself which allows you to drag and drop fields onto a form to design the layout.

Sugar then creates a fully validated form ready for publilshing on your website. More importantly, it also creates the handler code which will receive the form input and automatically create a lead.
