cannot change the logo

So I have the latest community edition. In System Settings, when I try to upload the logo, it shows up as image after upload, but on Save it shows the broken image placeholder. The logo on the top left corner of my page is also showing up as a broken image - when I right-click it, it shows that it points to http://site.com/custom/themes/Sugar/...mpany_logo.png - the file is there, and it is my company logo.... what might be wrong?

Hi,

You have to perform Repair from admin panel->system setting->repair->quick repair

Try to open the image url in the browser and see whether it is accessible. Also make sure site_url in the config.php is set correctly.

You don't have permission to access /custom/themes/Sugar2006/images/company_logo.png on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Edit: fixed the permissions to the whole path and the file to 755, now it works fine... strange it has these permissions by default?

So it may be a read permission problem. Give full access permissions to that file & folder and check.

Identify the user and group apache is using to get started, take a look on httpd.conf.
Then run this command as root:

chown -R <the_user>.<the_group> /path/to/sugar
