    Default Capture customer specific information

    I am new to SugarCRM and need some help. My business is B2C. I need to capture information about my customers. This way I can target those customers in future marketing campaigns.

    From my understanding, if I create fields to capture this information in my contacts, it might make future upgrades difficult. Does anyone have any suggestions on a module or something I can use to capture this customer specific information?

    Create custom fields on Contacts to capture such informations should not affect further upgrade process.

    I personally feel that you should try out the demo version for at least once and then go through the support system as well...it'll really help you in getting how you can utilize the CRM system in a better way...
