Hi all, i'm new to Sugar and trying to have cases created when i receive an email. For this i'have created a new monitored inbound email with "create case" checked. I' able to receive email but no cases are created, maybe i'm missing something? I've seen a lot os threads asking for this problem but no reply at all... anyone could help me ?

It doesn't happen automatically. You have to click the Create Case button in the email screen. This setting simply controls which options are available in the email screen.

Clint, thanks a lot for your response, looking some posts i thougt cases were automatically created.... so if i'm right this should be the flow..
    1) create inbound mail, a scheduled job that looks for incoming email and at least an auto-reply
    2) user creates manually a case from email.
On some posts i've read that if in the subject of next emails received there is [CASE xxx] it is possible to have mail related to case is it true this or i is always done manually?
    Regards.

That overview is correct. Automatically linking an email to a case based on the "[CASE: XXXX]" syntax in the subject line works after the case already exists.

To initially create the case, you will need to manually review inbound emails. You must manually review new inbound emails because an automated case creation system via email is prone to creating many false cases which skew your case statistics. This is because inbound emails can be spam or related to an existing case but missing the CASE syntax in the subject.

Clint, i've done some test and found it's working fine but ... just a litlle question more, i've sent a test email from outside and from that opened a new case, then after the first replay ( from sugar to me ) i've sent the second email with [CASE #] in the subject from outside.
After sending i've been waiting to receive the email looking at the folder i've associated to but never seen the email.
Then watching the case i've found the email there... without any notification is it correct ? Or should i set some notification flag in the cofiguration ?
    Thanks again
