client who wants to use soap with sugar

I have a client who wants to use sugar crm with a predictive dialer using soap. I spoke to the dialing company and all they would need us to do is make sure the field mappings are correct and provide a post url to transfer data. is this something that can be accomplished without having to create a complicated custom application? any input would be greatly appreciated

Basically SOAP API does not requires a complicated custom application.
But you must need to:
figure out what are the possible soap calls to sugar.
Identify some data transformations you may need to accomplish in the middle ware.

In few words: Integration tasks never are a piece of cake to accomplish.
You may need to ask some developer with solid SugarCRM skills to help you figuring out this task.
