    Question Is Community Edition are REAL FREE Open Source Project?

    Hello

    I'm new to Sugar and also new to CRM, but during my business practice i face i need it and more experienced friends gave me a piece of advice.
    Now I'm facing some strange problems with Sugar CE 5.0 (upgraded to 5.0.0a).
    Leads import stuck when CSV file have more than 360 lines. Didn't tried import directly to target list, but i think algorithms are the same.
    When i try to add leads to target list popup windows opens with maximum 200 records (set up ad administration - system setting). when I trying to put more in this setting i got popup with clean, white page.
    When I tried to send quelled messages and select all messages - system send only 157 messages at the time (email batch set up to 3000), manually i can send 200 messages - maximum.

    Where is a problem? Setup? Hosting? or this product is not FREE Open Source more like Trial Version with limited functionality?

    CentOS release 5
    SugarCRM 5.0.0a
    apache-1.3.37
    PHP 5
    MySQL 5

    Thank you

    Hi sapogov, I don't have a magic solution for your import issue but I can assure you that the Community Edition does not place limits on available features, like import, when compared to Sugar Professional and Enterprise editions.

    Sugar Professional and Enterprise editions represent a superset of functionality over Sugar Community Edition. But within available features, there are no "quotas", "time bombs", or "usage" limits whatsoever in CE v Pro v Ent.

    As to the issues you raise here they seem related to resource issues. You may need to turn logging on. See the Wiki for an article on logging. This seems like a good first step.

    There's a reason we use computers, and performing the same mindless action over and over again isn't one of them.

    Is this regulated with php.ini?

    php.ini
    ...
    max_execution_time = 90
    max_input_time = 60
    memory_limit = 32M
    ...
    default_socket_timeout = 60
    ...

    All documented setting are good only for small amounts of data. Many many issues looks like a bug - insufficiency of resources. When you work with large amount of targets, leads, cases and opportunities limits for a memory should be as high as you can give for it, for now i set 512M, but still facing some problems linked to resources.

    This sounds to be more performance issue. You can not give a metric for the performance, to perform well you need to configure components better to give the satisfactory performance.

    The CE is free and good to start with, well configured structure always performs well.

    Regards,
