Default connect two sugar crm servers (mainly calendar)

i am currently looking into sugar crm to use it as a crm tool for our company. but so far i already like it so much that i would like to replace my private egropuware installation where i only use the addressbook, webmail and calendar features with sugar crm. my question is: is there any way i could somehow sync or connect my private server with my account on the server in our business? so that i see my private appointments as well as my business ones in both, my home and my work server?

so the main advantage would be to have both calendars connected. i don't need addresses and emails together..

    cheers

    Hi,
technically you can have two or more SugarCRM working on the same db.
First, be sure you have the same Sugar versions on both machines (business and home); then at home replace in config.php the db configuration with that of your business'.

thanks for your reply but this isn't actually what i want. i want to have two servers with their own databases and their own sugar crm installations. i don't want to access the company db from home, i just want to have my personal calendar entries from the office to be also available on my home server.. sort of like linking two calendars through ical or such a thing.

i know i can query sugarcrm for free or busy times in my schedule. so what really is missing for me to reach my goal is the possibility to do the opposite: import such a free/busy time listing of the other sugarcrm. for example if i could make my office sugar server display my home sugar server's busy times of my account and my home server display my company's accounts busy times i'd already be happy but so far i haven't found a way to import a remote calendar into the sugar crm calendar.

    cheers

    Hi, Pascal.

For your need the optimistic choice could be SugarCRM Enterprise, which has the offline user. This feature enable sync data between installation at home and another installation at work.

But you also can do that coding some SOAP functionalities.
