consignment stock? in qoute or oppertunities

I have a question on how we should go about with consignment stock, it is a sale but not a sale?

stock is sent to different shops as consignment, only when it is sold will it go through as a sale. but goods can also be returned as damaged goods, where it is not a sale but a credit on the consignment sent to the shop, have a bout 300 product.

Hi Paul,

This is more of an ERP question than CRM .

A consignment is neither a sale, nor a quote, Its a separate entity on its on. How we propose you to approach is that, make a consignment as a separate entity. When the consignment reaches a status "delivered", increase the inventory by the unit of goods, the consignment has.

When the sales executive physically checks the inventory level (monthly / weekly), and if there is a reduction in inventory by X units, create a sales order and an invoice for X units with reference to the consignment number.
