I'm new to Sugar, just testing the community plattform. I read the doc and I just cannot find what I'm looking for.

We have different customers and we'd like to have a follow up on all the different ways we get in contact with them. For instance: we write an email> the customer contacts us by phone>we response with a letter etc

What we'd like to have is a follow up where you can see who contacted whom and a description about the content, like a contact protocol. I found that you can add single activities, but there is no hierarchie (e.g. for different customers) .
Maybe you can help me and I'm just too supid to find it.
