Contacts appear multiple times in the list view layout

Okay, contacts and accounts are related through a many to many relationship. The issue comes up when a contact is related to multiple accounts causing them to appear many times in the list view. In the detail view, there is only one account shown, though for each entry on the list view, a different account is displayed. The edit view also has a single text box and you can clear or change that account that is related.

If you look at the account list view, one entry per account. The detail view has a sub-panel for the contacts.

The manner in which accounts are displayed is correct and the manner that contacts are displayed is incorrect, down right wrong. And inconsistent.

It's entirely consistent and logical. How else would you know from a list view that a Contact is related to many Accounts?
