Convert Custom Module to Lead

Hello ,
i'm new both to the SugarCRM and to the forum
I've created a custom module to pickup requests from our website- because the % of them actually being real leads are super low. like 1 in every 100.
i'd like to have a functionality that converts the info in this custom module to lead.
any clues how to do that...
(i've created this custom module because we use the Leads module itself for our other channels of generating leads)
please help

Thank you the link shows exactly what i want to do but i cant find which files to edit with the displayed snippets and nobody seems to answer my question under the article for 4 days now.
can you advise me where i need to find all the needed files.

Hello,

You will need to add that button into custom/modules/<CUSTOM_MODULE>/metadata/detailviewdefs.php and the other file to work on with is custom/modules/Leads/controller.php(which needs to copy pasted from modules/Leads/controller.php)
