Converting employee to user?

Ok so I want to convert an employee to a user, the Admin guide says:

To convert an employee into a user
1. On the employee’s detail page, click Create User.
2. Specify a user name to enable the employee to log into Sugar.
3. Click Change Password, specify a password for the user name, and click Save.
4. Send an email notification to the employee with the username and password information.

So, with step with, on the employee detail page, where in the world is create user?

Which version? ... certainly up to 5.2.x - I don't believe that functionality exists

looks like this is a known bug - #28306

It can be done. Please take out the record ID from the Employees' DetailView and put it in a new url like this:

index.php?module=Users&action=EditView&record=<ID> , that should work. If not, it can still be done, but from within the database.

Converting from an employee to user is missing in 5.5CE and does not follow the online help file.

I followed the instructions that SugarDev.net provided and it worked. Thank you.

I also checked the known bug - #28306 and it reported it was closed. I don't think it should be closed.
