    Default Create task if inbound email does not have related contact

    I new to sugar but am looking to see if there is a way to create a task if an inbound email does not have an associated contact. We are using sugar professional on demand. Any suggestions? I played around with the workflows and was not able to figure it out and from what I can tell there is no way to add custom fields to the email module.

    you will have to code this in non upgrade safe way if you want it to fire up immediately when an email is saved. Other solution can be to have a script check new mails every x minutes and create tasks for appropriate emails.

    Hello,

    You might try to use Inbound Email Settings. Create a inbound email account for creation of cases. So, whenever a new email would come into a designated email ID, it would create a case. And a task can be created for every new case using Workflows.
