Creating a Portal

Hello,

We are interested in creating a web-based portal to service 2 external user communities.
One community would access the portal to upload their company and product category information.
The other community would access the portal for look-up only

Would Sugar be a good platform to implement this application, and which SugarCRM edition would I need?

Welcome to the Sugar forum.
What you need can be achieved through the Sugar CE version 5.5.x and the Lampada portal from the Sugar Forge

We currently use the both in a similar scenario.
