Default Creating Task lists in a template for new accounts / without Projects

I've been working with the Open Source version for a bit. I want to be able to have standard task lists associated either with a buying stage, and/or to be copied in to a new account as a group of tasks. My preference is to do this without setting them up as Project Tasks, largely because I can't see how Project Tasks show up in the Activities/Task view. My goal is to have all tasks manageable from one panel, with a clear link as to their related account.

Any help would be greatly appreciated while I continue to search the forums.

I'm inclined to load SierraCRM's Process Manager to tackle this, unless someone has a better idea.
