    Default Current, valid AMI with SugarCE

    I'm trying to set up a quick demo of SugarCE for my company. I know that there are Amazon instances (AMI) out there. But any of the AMI IDs that I come across in a the "official" press releases do not exist on the Amazon cloud.

    Can someone please provide an accurate, current AMI ID that contains a version of SugarCE ready to go?

    You will find the official Amazon AMI built by the Sugar team located at;

    http://developer.amazonwebservices.c...xternalID=2672

    Enjoy!

    Good, I was hoping that a Sugar team member will reply. The link you sent is the same one that has been published many times but clearly outdated. The AMI simply does not exist any more. In fact, I can't find *any* AMIs that contain Sugar. I've included a screen shot of the AMI search and you can see the results.

    Help.

    Please check to make sure that there is no trailing spaces after ami-199c7d70 . The amazon search doesn't do a trim on it. With the space i don't see any results. If I do the search without the space I see the results. You can also do a search for sugarcrm and it will show up.

    Thanks,

    I appreciate the reply.

    I found the problem. The SugarCE AMI ONLY exists in the US East region of AWS, it does *not* exist on the US West or EU West region of the cloud. I didn't realize that AMIs are broken out this way - I'm pretty sure you can have an AMI live in various regions (or at least copies of them, maybe not running instances).

    However, this would limit access to clients that already have instances running in the East and (folks like me) in the West would not be able to run the AMI (at least not concurrently).

    Is it possible for Sugar to create a similar AMI that exists in both the East and West and maybe the EU region (don't know if there's other issues around that). I guess it's also possible for a user like me to launch in the East, launch and copy the AMI and then put it in the West???

    Thanks!
