Default Custom dropdown fields in Leads Mod. v.4.0

Using ver. 4.0. I have setup 4 new dropdowns and inserted corresponding fields into Leads module. Modules/Leads/DetailView.html also modified by adding custom fields as dropdown and also as text fields. Neither insert of custom fields to layout display data. 6000 rows of data in leads table and also in leads_cstm table with corresponding leads.id = leads_cstm.id_c checking out ok. Data is there, how can it be displayed? Thanks much!

I have also run into the same problem. There appears to be no easy way. However, you may find a solution here:

It would appear that you require to manually edit the base code to include custom dropdowns and associated language definitions.

I hope I am wrong as it would quickly become unmanagable and prone to mistakes.

I would live to know how if anybody know anything different.

Not sure if that thread is really related but.. can you post your detailview.html, editview.html, detailview.php and editview.php files as well as the names of the 4 custom fields as you entered them?
