Default Custom Fields don't display in Field Layout

    Hello all,
I added a custom field named "Tax Code" to Account module. That's OK. When I go to "Field Layout", then i choose file and press "Select File" button, it display nothing. I also check in "Edit in Place" then It redirect automatically to Home page. Can you help me how to display "Tax code" to "Detail View" or "Edit View"?

    Thanks for any help

When you select the file in the field layout, you need to add the field to the form. The field layout is an editor that allows you to add fields to the form. You need to look in the left pane and click the + box next to "View Sugar Fields" and find the field that you added. You will need to add both the label and the field itself.

Thanks for your reply. There is a thing that i am confusing, Default value of Select file is "modules/Accounts/DetailView.html". So if i selected other value like "modules/Accounts/ListView.html" and then press "Select file" button, It's still at default value.

I also try to select Accounts and account of Select a subpanel, i have seen "Tax_code_c_0" field when i click "View Sugar Fields" but in right panel is alway as List View Layout. I mean that althought i select any files, the right panel alway display as List View.

    Can you help me again?

    Thanks a lot.

When you select modules/accounts/detailview you should get a screen that looks like the attached screenshot.

If you are not, then you have a configuration issue with Sugar.

Can you tell me how to configure to display like that image? I don't know why it doesn't display?

    I am using Sugar 4.0.1c, Fedora Core 4, MySql 4.1.11, PHP 5.0.4

Does the Sugar run properly on PHP 5?

    Thanks

I am running mine on Windows / IIS 6 / PHP 5 / MySQL 4.1 / SugarCRM 4.0.1d. When you installed Sugar, did you follow the instructions about granting your web server user access to the cache, modules, data, custom and config.php?

If you select the file I don't know how it could be picking a different file to display. Maybe you can email me privately your admin information and I could take a quick look (for Sugar that is). My email is rwebb [at] zylatech.com, If you do, you will be prompted to confirm that you are not a spam robot in order to send to me.

OK, I looked at your SugarCRM and it definately is not working the way it is supposed to. There are logging features and as I remember you need to change the log level in your config.php and then try the action again and then look at the logs for clues as to why it is not displaying the editor.

Maybe someone else can chime in here and help us with the logging setup.
