custom fields Imports

Hi all,


I have a csv file and it has many custom fields that I want to add to sugar and be able to display them .
for example this is the header of the CSV file

firstName,LastName,customField1,customField2,custo mField3

so how do I do that , I tried to add custom fields myself in sugar but they don't show up and they don't "stick" what am I doing wrong ?
