Customizing SugarCRM as per requirements.

Hi all,

SugarCRM version : SugarCRM CE 5.02k
OS: WIndows 7
Apache version:
MySQL Version: 5.0.45
phpMyAdmin - 2.11.2.2

I would like to ask for guide/advice/hint/information for the CRM that i needed to be use in my sugarcrm CE.

I list down 2 things that i required the most and hopefully somebody will light me up on how to deal with the matter.

1. I need to change the default login screen for SugarCRM with my customized login screen. So that the user will fill in the username and password from customized login screen and it will show the sugarcrm homepage.

2. I will hosted the sugarcrm and there will be 2 or more companies will be using the same sugarcrm.

- Every companies have their own admin and users.
- Every companies can only access their own information within their organization even though there are more than 1 companies in the same sugarcrm.
- If the admin create a team for 3 user, only 3 user will be visible in the assigned user for any task.

I will update if i need any other requirements, feel free to guide me as i am really new to this sugarcrm and i have spent more than a week to look at the sugarcrm but unfortunately i am still blur and this is the way i express my concern and needs.

Every company having their own admins will be problematic. Admins have wide ranging permissions and many admin changes affect the entire application. You may be better having one central admin (you) and many user companies.

1st, is it possible to have multiple companies in single sugarcrm CE

2nd, if company A and company B want to add users, i need to manually add them right. Can i set one user for each companies as 'admin' which can create users for their own company without having to tampered any other functions or settings?

Yes, if you implement one of the available Teams modules, like Security Suite or Teams CE.

Sugar 5.5 introduces an hierarchy privileges for users, so hopefully you can accomplish that requirement.

I have searched through sugarforge.org on the Team Modules like Security Suite or Teams CE. But the list is so many and i am not sure which are the correct module that i can use. Mind if you can give me the links to that modules if possible? Thank you very much.

For the items no 2, i will check out Sugar 5.5 later.
