    Default Data Migration

Please assist me, I have an acct with a sugar open source provider, now I have my own sugar crm apps, I need to transfer all of my data from my previous provider to my server. Please let me know how can I do that?

Assuming the version of Sugar that you have is the same as what was on the provider's server this should accomplish the task:

    1. Request a MySQL backup of your Sugar data from your provider.

    2. Restore that backup onto your MySQL server

    3. Update the config.php file on your installation to direct it to the appropriate Database name and SQL logins.

As Angel pointed out, you need a copy of the database. In addition it is recommendable that you get a copy of the whole sugar directory including the documents. Modify the config.php file and the sql file to match your new environment
