My ISP gives me a 100Mb limit for MySQL databases.
I want to run a five user implementation of Sugar.
How realistic is it to run this in 100Mb?
Will I run into space problems quickly?

Yes, 2 maybe 3 but 5 is way to much.

Our Database Size is about 18MB.
There is a big problem with using shared hosting. Sugar opens a lot of files. and likes persistant connections to the database. This is a problem in some shared hosting. Not to mention it can be slow to access. First make sure that the hosting provider is using zend accelerator or eaccellerator to boost PHP performance. Also find out how many share that host with you. We ended up moving to a dedicated host because of preformance issues with sugarcrm. We took our page load time from 30-45 seconds to about 1.5 seconds. You could look into virtual dedicated hosting as an alternative to general shared hosting. With a virtual Dedicated hosting you get memory guarntees for your appliction and you have a full virtual root access which allows complete customization of the environment with shell access to the server. This is an mid-range option for having a dedicated system with the benifits of a dedicated solution.
Cheers,
Max
