    Default Dates reverting to 1999

I've seen a bunch of threads about date issues with campaigns, email marketing, project tasks etc and I'm having the same problem. When I create any of those items, the date reverts back to 1999-12-31.

I took my PROD setup, copied it to my local machine and the only difference I see is there is an "AM/PM" dropdown on the project task screen, but only a time text box on my prod server. In the case of email marketing, the example time in brackets is shown as "11:00pm" whereas my local copy of production files shows "23:00".

On the upgrade wizard page, I have an email template fix and 3.5.1d installed so the installs are identical (well, I did copy the files from production so I KNOW they're the same). The only difference in environments is my local box has PHP 5.0.4 and my prod server has 5.0.4-pl3-gentoo.

Does 3.5.1e address this or is there a setting to configure or date patch or something? I know it's gotta be something simple, I just don't know where to look.

I personally have fixed at least 10 bugs pertaining to date display (as a new hire, that was my first "bug" - kill all date problems).

Even in 4.0.1, I've come across some isolated areas that may still have old code dealing with date display.

In your instances, do the dates/times pass a sanity check if you look at the raw database output, either through the MySQL client or some GUI like PHPMyAdmin?

Upgrading will definitely help take care of *some* of these display issues - in fact, I'd recommend it just based on performance gains and security issues.

If the data is bad, then by all means file a bug.

    Good luck!

In the email_marketing table, the start date is 2000-01-01 and time is 00:00:00 and in the UI on the Campaign module, email marketing sub-panel the start date is 1999-12-31.

This is weird since I took the production files, copied them over and it's fine on my localbox, just not on the server.

un-real. It ended up being a user time preference setting. I switched my test user account to use 24 hour time and the email marketing campaigns work.

Project tasks still have a bug in the sence you must enter a time or else it will still default to 1999-12-31, but at least it sorta works ok. I'll just have to tell all my users to always use 24-hour time in their preferences since you can't force it globally.

I want the last 2 days of my life back......

I have found a similar issue as well but only in Firefox. When I switch back to IE (yuk) the error does not occur. So I flushed the cookies in Firefox and voila it works fine! It could be the way Firefox handles cookies.

    Doing some Forum housekeeping today...

This thread is now closed - The issue no longer occurs.
