Deleting Users from SugarCRM Community Edition

Hi Everyone,

I have a small issue here that i am sure is going to be an easy fix. I am currently using SugarCRM Version 5.2.0 (Build 5380) Community Edition. While this program is working fine, I want to delete a number of previously employed individuals. How do I do this? There is no delete button. I have checked under both the employees link and the user management link in the administration pages and yes I am an Administrator on the system. Any ideas for this one?

Inactivate the users. You can do that from the Users area of Admin.

The user management features do not include delete capabilities. Deleting a user is not recommended as it can have ramifications on the system which aren't always readily noticeable, for example, issues with upgrades.

Said issues are usually related to data being assigned to users that no longer exist in the user list. Doesn't seem like a major issue, and in reality it is easy to correct, but the problem is that the manner in which they manifest themselves can have you chasing your tail for hours, if not days.

So word to the wise, set your user status to inactive instead of deleting them.
