Short version: Are there any developers documentation available?

Long version: Being in a dire need to develop some custom functionality that has to coexist with existing Sugar modules, I wasn't able to find any developer's documentation. The only things I've found were demo "songs" module and some brief notes on subpanels in modules.

If anyone happened to stumble upon API, samples or any other documentation that might shed light on module development, please, share. Reverse engineering existing modules is sort of painful.
