Different logins for different departments

Hi There

we have not been using sugar for long, but we like what we see.

we are using the community version and really enjoy it, however we would like to do some customization.

we have a number of departments and would like to have some of them run bit independent. Example, our supplier recon department only needs the supplier details and contacts not access the the customer accounts, also we would like to give each department it's own skin for sugar with their own logos. Another example is the HR department, they only communicate with the staff and do not need access to clients and suppliers

how can we do this?

For each user grouping set up a role. Roles define what the user has access to. You'll be able to remove modules, etc. From each user record you can also hide/rearrange tabs. If you are on Pro you can hide individual fields as well.

There are themes (skins) that are in the themes directory that can be choosen as someone logs in. You can create your own if you wish.
