Default Direct Web Support and plagiarism

It's a small place the SugarCRM community and the supplier base is even smaller.

So, imagine our surprise to find another SugarCRM supplier who seemed to think exactly as we do.

In fact they think so exactly alike that they have used, word for word, some of our Website. Now, since we use a Creative Commons License, that's OK, as long as the source is attributed. In this case it isn't.

The company involved is called Direct Web Support, and their plagiarised pages are here:

So, you have to ask yourself how trustworthy an Open Source company is when they won't even play by the most basic rules of licensing.

We did email them to ask them to attribute or move. We didn't even get an acknowledgement. Hopefully embarassing them in public will have the desired effect.

Creative Commons suggests that if a license is being blatantly abused then the offended party has a recourse in law.

But this seems like a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

Did you do anything that worked in getting the plagiarisers to change their behaviour?
