    Question Disabl Accounts Module

I would like to disable the Accounts Module so that it does not require Account entry in the Opportunities entry screen.

    How can I accomplish this?

    Dave,

Not sure, why you want to dissable the Accounts module. Dissabling Accounts module may effect many other modules functionality, too.

As here you want to dissable the Accounts module so that it should not be asked while creating the Opportunity. But it is REQUIRED field in the Opportunity creation.

After all it also uses the information from several modules to generate the chart in Dashboard.

    Regards,

    Question Re: Disabl Accounts Module

We sell real estate therefore we do not deal with companies, only people and ofen only once. By creating an account I have to create two records - 1 contact and 2 the account. It serves no purpose and creates extra work.

I have disabled Accounts through Admin but the only place it seems to be required is in Opportunities.

    Any suggestions?

    Dave,

If you have dissabled Accounts module from the Admin panel then you won't be able to create Opportunity as it will be asking for the accounts while creating the opportunity and in this case if you hit the select button it won't allow you to select the account. The bottom line is, it will not save the opportunity.

I will ask my developers to dig into this more.

    Regards,
