Default Do I need CRM ?

How do I know that my organization needs a CRM package like SugarCRM? Is there any pre-assesment questionare that available on the net? Mainly, my organization consisting 1 divisional director , 3 senior manager and 3 manager. There are approximately 80 clients/corporate need to be approached every year.

Do I really need a CRM?

Hi wilslm, not only do you need CRM ... you need SugarCRM!!

Seriously, this recorded seminar featuring Michael Whitehead is a good place to start. Michael authored Implementing SugarCRM thatcontains a terrific overview.

    Hope this helps.

The guys from SalesAgility compiled a training guide, but the first pages might be a good intro to get some overview.

    The URL is http://www.sugarforge.org/frs/?group_id=290

Thanks for the information It has some useful information! However what I am looking after is something like project methodology? For instance what steps should I follow to implement CRM right from the begining? Is there any template or guide that I could use to gather the client requirement? Some kind of checklist.

Also I would have thought that for my case it is quite small because it is only consisting of 1 Management and 3 Senior Manager and 3 Manager. So it's only 1 Executive roles and 6 Sales. Really, what do I expect from a CRM is something simple like where Sales group could post the opportunity and be able to close once we got the project. The idea is that so that the executive could have the "real-time" inside of the business activities -- basically could get the report and progress status.

At the moment, it just me that put all the information into the excel spreadsheet by interviewing all the sales group (Manager) in regards to which client that we have approached and client which we haven't.

Moreover, should I go for a FREE CRM or commercial? for a simple stuff scenario like this. Any thought on that? Also I guess that the CRM doesn't require any interface to any external web site or other applications.

I am afraid that it might lead to http://www.smallbusiness20.com/blog/...-Startups.aspx

By the way, how you measure whether a particular CRM implementation has failed or not?
