    Default Doubt Sugar Cube

    Hi,

I am doubt Sugar Cube works or maybe I was misunderstood.
Suppose I have my database installed in my company's server behind firewall and use SugarCRM application from SugarCRM Corp. by browser, How SugarCRM connect to my database? I know it works by using webservice in theory. But it definitely have a performance issue.

Looking forward someone could clarify what I thought.

The application wouldn't be connecting to your database server via a web server. It would be connecting through the PHP client for MySQL/MS-SQL/Oracle (depending on your setup). Performance should be acceptable.

The bigger concern for this type of setup would be security. Your SQL server should not be exposed to the outside world. It would be best if you put the Sugar server behind the firewall too and then expose that server to the outside world. Exposing the SQL server to the outside world is asking for problems.
