drop down changes not saved

I am attempting to make changes to drop down menus. The changes are lost after I move away from the screen. The changes are there when I save it, but when I come back or go out to use the new drop down, the changes are not there.

Figured it out ... When I installed, I didn't have the permissions correct down to the folder/file level. The folders that should have been under the custom folder just weren't there. I had to copy the folders into the custom folder (from another app that installed correctly) and change the owner/group and permissions. Not bad for a windows gal working on a linux server.
