    Default Dropping ACT! for SugarCRM

I'm in the process of converting our ACT! 2007 data to SugarCRM. I've read a thread on here where one person did it in 2005 and I'm attempting it 5 years later with 5.5.

I've downloaded the ACT Exporter and now have CSV files for 200 records. The files represent the databases in MS SQL.

I'm now at the point where I want to get these records in Sugar but am looking for an easy way.

Off the top of my head I want to to compare schemas between ACT! and Sugar so I can match up columns. I would then write a perl program that would read the CSV files and then do the import in MySQL.

Is that really the best way?

    Thanks,
    Chris

There are some Open Source ETL tools like Talend and Jitterbit ... but as long as you take the time to understand the Sugar schema ... a script works just as well ... we hand craft most of our data migrations ... Goldmine, ACT etc.
