Default Editing DropDowns - freaky bug

    Hey guys!
I got a freaky one for you. Go into the DropDown editor and put in an item with a singe quote in it - for example: Ruthie's List
    Hit Add; all is well
    Click Save - NOTHING HAPPENS!
    Take out the singe quote
Click Save - all is well
Can someone see about fixing that or documenting it?

    I'm on 50f running Fedora 9;
    php-cli-5.2.6-2.fc9.x86_64
    php-mysql-5.2.6-2.fc9.x86_64

I just came across the same thing. It seems that the data is stored in a text file with single quotes used to indicate the data. Hopefully you have no big need to have a plural 's word in there.

There is no plural apostrophe. Neither in English nor in German. I've been told there is one in Dutch. Ah! And in English for "Mind your P's and Q's", but that the exception that proves the rule ;-)

    Nevertheless: It's a stupid (sorry) bug. Maybe it's possible to put a &aquote; or a ' instead of a '?

    Hi all

Skeeve, your comment makes sense. You can log another bug into bugs.sugarcrm.com reporting it and suggesting the fix.

Yeah it's best to use US input, usually. I'm sorry, but Sugar's localization is still sketchy.
    Developers go here
    Businesses go there (Dutch)

    Modules:
SugarDev.net Developer Tools | Config | Dutch Language Pack

If I file a bug I should have tested it. And my "fix" isn't a fix but a workaround for someone needing to enter that character.

I think all user input in Studio and Builder need to be escaped properly so that these fixes are not necessary.
