I can see how to rename fields in e.g., the Accounts page in the "studio" - is there any way to modify the history and stuff that shows up underneath an account from within the studio? With the older version, I made manual edits to the Activities module, however I don't see a link to edit that module from the studio.

Also, I saw something in the upgrade process about merges - in most cases, will SugarCRM automagically merge changes you made, or is it easier to use diff / patch to maintain a patchset for the files?

I had some custom changes I made to our install of 3.0, but I think I need to re-do them for 4.5.1.

this is mostly to change "contact" to "created by" in the history. I'd also be interested in an easy way to shrink how much of the subject of a note shows up - our sales people tend to use the subject for the note itself, and the long notes seem to be stretching the page wider than it should.
