hi everybody,

hope there is an solution in sugar CE 6.0.3 for the following situation:

1. user A opens an record in editview (for example, module contacts) and made serveral changes....
2. user B opens the same record at the same time, also in editview ...
3. user A saves the record with his changes...
4. user B saves the record with his changes...

(user A an B make changes at the same database-field, e.g. lastname)

what happens: user B (who saves secondly) gets an message from sugar after saving "A Conflict Exists For - Contact..." and has the choise of a) adopt his changes or b) use the values from database.

so far so good - but it would be nicer that user B gets a warning-message while opening the edit-view which is already in user by another user - and the record is blocked for editing by user B.

is there any solution to block the record while it is in editing by another user?
if not with onboard features, does anybody have an approach to develop this feature by my own?
