Effective Immediately: Change in Forums Moderation

Hi everyone,

Effective immediately, we are now moderating posts from user with less than 10 posts made to the forums. The reason behind this is due to the increased spam activity we have been receiving recently. We are finding that this is almost entirely coming from users with the sole intent of creating spam posts and threads in our forums. We do apologize for the inconvenience it may cause any users that are wanting to participate in the forums in a productive way.

Please keep an eye on this thread for any further changes we may make in the short-term to help curve this issue. And feel free to comment below on any ideas or feedback you have on this change or helping to control the spam issue.

Do the posts have to be in specific places? I know some forums have the same "first X posts moderated" restriction but then have open "general" forums where those posts don't count towards the X needed.
