Email Capabilities of SugarCRM

Hi ,

I would like to know if a feature is available on Sugar CRM OpenSource . I have lead(s) coming into Sugar CRM through Website. I would like to know if i can automatically schedule e-mails to that user. This change should happen on a change of certain custom feild in Sugar CRM . Say if a lead comes in today , Sugar CRM should automatically send him a news letter 10 days after registration.

Scenario - 1

User Register - Day 1
Product Download - Day 1
Custom Field Value Set to "TRUE" - Day 1
EMAIL: Product Tips and Tricks - Day 10
EMAIL: Product Tips and Tricks (Part 2) - Day 18
EMAIL: 30Day Trial Expiry Reminder - Day 25
EMAIL: 30Day Trial Expiry Message - Day 30

Scenario - 2
User Register - Day 1
Product Download - Never happened
Custom Field Value Set to "FALSE"

-No Emails Until Custom field is Set to TRUE-


Scenario - 3
User Register - Day 1
Product Download - Day 3
Custom Field Value Set to "TRUE" on Day 3
EMAIL: Product Tips and Tricks - Day 12
EMAIL: Product Tips and Tricks (Part 2) - Day 20
EMAIL: 30Day Trial Expiry Reminder - Day 27
EMAIL: 30Day Trial Expiry Message - Day 32

The emails i am talking about , should me sent from SugarCRM.

Hi:

Whatever feature you are looking is not possible as standard feature in SugarCRM Open Source.
This can be achieved by work flow plugin which is availble only with SugarCRM Commercial version.

If you want to do this using SugarCRM Open Source, you may have to do a code lavel hack.
