Email Database and Campaign Questions

Two questions:

1. When sending out emails in an email campaign, does Sugar support throttling so that we don't exceed our hosting provider's hourly email quota?

2. So if I link an external email account to Sugar via IMAP, let's say that external account has a few thousand messages in it and about 2 GB worth of attachments, is all that information going to be copied to Sugar? I'm guessing that all the emails will get stored in MySQL and the attachments will be stored in a folder somewhere in the sugar directory on our server (not in the MySQL database). Do I have that correct?

1. The throtteling can be found in admin - manage campaign email settings: Number of emails sent per batch

2. In connection with an IMAP server SugarCRM only loads the headers of your Emails ( in version >= 5.1 ). Only if the Email is opened it will be loaded. BUT, if you have a great amount of emails on your server, it can take a long time to initialize your email account in SugarCRM.
The email bodies and attachment are only stored if you start this explicitly!

You said the email bodies and attachments are stored only if we start this explicity - I'm not quiet sure what you mean by this. Also, would those by stored in the SQL database or as files?

All email Headers/Subjects are stored in email_cache table.

If you archive an email it is stored in emails table.

And if you archive an attachment of an email it's description is stored in notes table and the attachment itself is stored in the upload directory (/cache/upload).
