Hi,
This is quiet possible using the standard email configurations in SugarCRM.
However you need to turn it on a package level and not on module level. That is you cant activate the settings only for case module. In case you turn it on, it sends a Email notification in case of any kind of updation to the current owner of the record (Contact, Activity, Bugs, Cases).

This only works if the case or record is re-assigned.

A question to Veon: I'm new to Sugar - I was looking for a setting that would send an email to certain people in case of ANY update to a specific account (e.g. adding a note, advancing a stage in the pipeline, etc.). It sounds like from your reply, this is a standard feature. Would you mind pointing me in the right direction as to how to turn this on?
