    Default Email notification when assigning lead not working

    I have just successfully installed SugarCRM community edition 5.2.0e, I noticed that the email notification when assigning a new lead doesn't work. Previously, I have been using older version for years and this feature works fine.

    I have checked the "Notifications on? (Sends notification emails when records are assigned)" box. I used "sendmail" as mail transfer agent and tested it by sending an email from sugar successfully. I've also checked the "Notify on assignment" box in the users' setting.

    I created a new lead, assign it to me, and I didn't get any email. I try editing existing lead and change the person assigned, notification also didn't work.

    I love this feature and is very useful to me. Can anyone help please?

    I just started using Sugar CRM Community Edition and had this problem as well. My reps aren't getting the lead notification via email. I have the box checked to "Notify on Assignment", and tried to mess with the different email options under the user, but it doesn't seem to be working.

    Anyone able to offer any help on this?

    You will not receive an email notification if you create a record that you assign to yourself. You will only receive a notification if another user creates or modifies a record and assigns it to your user.

    Fixed! I had to resetup my email setting and worked just fine with my pop3. Thanks everyone
