Email notifications not sent

Since migrating servers and upgrading from 5.1.0 to 5.2.0e email notifications are no longer sent when a lead is assigned to a user from a web to lead form.

I have checked that the admin settings are set to notify on assignment for the appropriate users.

Any assistance will be very gratefully received.

This was a simple server issue relating to file permissions.

Sendmail (default path: usr/sbin/sendmail) was only executable by the root user.

I changed this to an apache user and email notifications now work fine.
