Alas when I get to making the template for the email which is to be used in the campaign it is not at all clear how to make this drive the campaign.
The ambiguity seems to lie in the role of the template. If it is a message template then the target group need not be part of it. And yet I don't find a way of creating a campaign for a prospect list by simply selecting a prospect list. and a template.
An earlier thread was concluded by Clint saying that in Sugar pro. (does this mean not in SOS) you have to create some sort of report but goodness knows how this relates to the campaign and in any case surely this is a very long way round to do a core activity.
The value of the prospects list is surely undermined if group mailings cannot be conveniently made to them.
We are on 3.5.1.a soon I hope to upgrade to the latest stable release.
Any experience on this?
Many thanks,
Nick
