Keep using Firefox?
Seriously though.. try clearing your cookies and browser cache in Explorer. And please post the browser version number.
Thanks, cookies deleted, Explorer works fine... but stay very slow compared with Firefox.Originally Posted by cywolf

We're haveing the exact same issue. On most of our computers, the speed is fine using any browser. On a few of them, the speed is fine through FireFox but slow using Internet Explorer. The problem is that it's slow on my machine and slow on the owner's machine.
Internet Explorer v6.0.2900.2180 (exact same as the one above)
Firefox v1.5.0.2
Any help from the staff would be greatly appreciated. This issue seems to be on the engineering level of dificulty.

It will always be slower in IE than in FF - but from the sound of it, it is especially slow on just a couple of clients?
I also find that I cant use the email template editor in Firefox but creating an email is just fine.

If the browser is taking a while to pick up the html from the server (not reflected in the server response time - more probably because of a slow network issue) or is taking a long time to render it (old, slow or low-memory machine) then firefox appears faster as you can see it render on the fly - whereas IE waits till the page is ready before displaying it.
For a slow network connection, we found enabling compression and forced caching in the apache configs helped dramatically (20 -> 2 seconds). There are details in these forums.
Otherwise - try upping the memory of the PC if it's low.
