    Default Failed registration causes a re-install

    I installed the SugarCRM open source version just fine, at the end it wanted me to register, but was blocked by my firewall. Now it re-directs me to the install script with an error message:

    How do I recover from this?

    ************* error message follws: ******
    SugarCRM Installation has been Disabled

    The installer has already been run once. As a safety measure, it has been disabled from running a second time. If you are absolutely sure you want to run it again, please go to your config.php file and locate (or add) a variable called 'installer_locked' and set it to 'false'. The line should look like this:

    'installer_locked' => false,

    After this change has been made, you may click the "Start" button below to begin your installation. After the installation is complete, you will want to change the value for 'installer_locked' to 'true'.

    Actually this is usually caused because your web server user doesn't have write access to the directories it says in the documentation to give access to: Cache, Custom, Data, Modules, and config.php.

    You don' t really even have to register. You can click the finish button without registering.

    Hi,

    I did a restore on Sugar, after attempting to do an upgrade, which went wrong via the Ensim control panel, and I kept getting the same message:

    I finally figured out that I needed to turn safe mode OFF in PHP. Everything now works GREAT! I thought I would post incase someone else gets this..

    Hi all.

    I am having the same issue with the installation looping back to the beginning. I am certain that I have all the directory permissions set properly. Everything is green before I hit next. I have tried sending in the registration and not sending in the registration, it always loops back to the beginning.

    Best, James Scherber
