I've just noticed that a thread involving a competitor of Sugar can no longer be found. I remember that the guy who started that thread complained that the name of this competitor was blacklisted on this forum - I could experience that by myself, too. Today I've read another post where a similar issue had been reported. On the other hand, the thread concerning Salesforce is marked as sticky, and some times ago one could find advertising posts that had nothing to do with Sugar, yet they were neither closed, nor deleted.

Any comments?

Unfortunately this forum is censored by the guys at Sugar, especially companies that are taking the source code and/or User interface design (looks a lot like salesforce.com to me thogh) like vT1ger and Splend1dCRM. Both companies mentioned have developed the product further or in a different environment.

There is one company here in Germany that has just swaopped the Sugar logo's to their own for the OS version, given it a different name and are charging customers for it! Not even an acknowledgement to SugarCRM as do the other products

I would feel a little p....d off.

But there again, I think Sugar should stop this censoring, they have a product that can stand up against the competitors, there are plenty of arguments to support the use of SugarCRM

1. Yes, the name of a special competitor is banned from this forum. There is a sript on the server, that removes the name from every post and url. Some time ago i wondered about this, but today, i think sugarcrm is right. Because this is not a competitor, i think it is a plagiat. They copy all content and ideas from sugar to another platform and dont invest in developing own ideas. One of the disadvantages of open-source :-(

2. I think, sugar is not monitoring all threads, so there r some advertice-posts still alive. If you found one, send messag to a sugar-teammember. They will remove it.
