    Default General question

I'm testing SugarCRM open source on my localhost right now, but I can't figure out the difference between an opportunity and a project. An opportunity is a chance te sell, then a project is like multiple tasks I have to do before accopmlishing that opportunity.

I'm also wondering where to keep my sales related correspondence, attach the documents to notes in the opportunities' history OR in documents were I can't relate it to projects or opportunities but where I do have all my documents nicely sorted in (sub)categories.

    Works cool right now, sugarSWEET!

    Default Re: General question

allready figured it out, opportunity is what we call in our organisation project, since every chance to sell to a company becomes a project for us. This is because we're a trading company, everything is centered around selling. A project in Sugarcrm is what I think really set aside from the selling and is more autonomous from sales. Think it's due to some translation issues this definitionchaos came into existence...

About where to keep sales related respondence; I'm now storing it in the test version under an opportunitę's history, although I would like to have a module (or a view) were all my correspondence is kept and sorted per project.

    Continue testing on localhost!
