Default Geography: A custom field in a custom module assignable by user login?

I have a field called geography. I have a firm right now based in Los Angeles. I would eventually like to have firms all over the country with one main SugarCRM customized for everyone, and hosted by one server and one massive database that will facilitate collaboration between cities, regions, and even nationwide if needed. However, as you can imagine, if I have a field called geography designed for Los Angeles (Malibu, Santa Monica, Westside, Long Beach, Orange County) etc...that will be of no value to my San Francisco office, which will have fields such as (Palo Alto, Sacramento, East Bay, South Bay).

My question is, is it possible within sugarcrm community version to have individual fields targeted to users when they login. Such that the san francisco users see only san francisco geography markers, and my la office only sees the la markers.

    Thanks for your input.

    Cheers,

    -Rick.

    Hi Rick

You can use either Security Suite or CE Teams to perform this feature.
The Teams would be the geographical places (San Francisco, Los Angeles) and so on.
You can assign an user with some team (geographical place) and assign the markers with the appropriate geographical places.

    Cheers
