How do I delete the dummy company Sugar installs for a sample site?

One way is to re-install application and uncheck the "install sample data" option.

Other way is to delete rows using tool like phpMyAdmin but then you have to know which rows/tables to delete.

    Hope this helps.

I have data in the system that I would like to keep. If I follow this procedure will it remove my data as well or just the sample data?

It will remove your data as well, so this method is not applicable.

I guess you have to use phpMyAdmin or other similar tool to remove sample data directly from the database. The problem is that you have to be careful not to delete your own data. Depending how much own data you already have, it might be easier to export your own data, re-install db and import it back.

I appreciate your answer. I figured since it was released with sample data "someone" would know which records and tables need to zapped.
